It’s hard to articulate the anger I feel with the Tennessee Legislature. A very good friend lives in Memphis and her black community is feeling defeated once again.
I'm angry about the Supreme Court's eviseration of the Voting Rights Act, and the opinion written by Justice Alito essentially endorsing partisan gerrymandering (giving a green light to Republican state legislatures to redistrict, which Democratic states will have to respond to). .
Both the political biases of the right-wing Court majority, and the corruption of many of them (Thomas, Alito, Roberts), have severely damaged the legitimacy of the Supreme Court.
By the way, your "Table Talk" is my #1 weekly "guilty pleasure" activity.
