He wants people to feel FEAR call it the way it is. This is a test. He wants to see what the Democrats and Republicans will do?

I respectfully disagree, he has been told by his advisors TO PILE ON!!!! the distractions, because even 1 oz of focus on the E-files leads to a news snowball effect that creates a varying intensity demand for more answers..

Trump is not capable of putting together organized/coherent strategy...

his advisors are where the chaos comes from...

And the chaos is deeply centered in him?

I agree he is not capable of any type of strategy.

The strategy is Heritage Foundation's Project 2025. Donald is a puppet. He gets to exact his revenge and JD is slowly sticking his 2 cents in. All these vacation, 7 in 7 months, need to have an eyeball on him. Just the fact that he just left Murdoch when the WSJ piece came out about the Epstein birthday card was no accident.

This was a great discussion.

Terry, you definitely met the moment in your description of Stephen Miller. He is full of hate. Journalists should not be sugarcoating what we the people can clearly see; especially those of us from communities that are on the receiving end of his cruelty.

I agree with you about the media not meeting the moment. It is very sad, frustrating and terrifying to watch what were once great institutions caving to a madman. But I also feel that, all too often, the media waits too long to call out the blatant lies. For example, the crime in DC story. Crime in DC and other cities repeatedly targeted by the current administration such as Philly, Baltimore, LA and Chicago has dropped significantly.

That story has been out there since 2024, and now the MSM is finally reporting on it in a more thorough manner, BUT only in reaction to yesterday’s announcement about DC.

The MSM is quick to mention blue cities in relation to crime but never mentions red cities — where crime also happens and at higher rates in some cases — in the same manner. Just this week there were violent crimes that happened all in red cities and not once did we hear the President mention any of them. Why doesn’t anyone ask him about that?

That crime in blue city narrative feeds into the hate that we POC constantly receive. I feel the MSM is in part to blame.

Thank you again for telling the truth and for speaking truth to power. You are on the right side of history.

Why is it that there are brilliant, knowledgeable, people with a degree of moral integrity like Terry and Steve and we get Trump and his minions? Enlightening and discouraging at the same time. Thanks for your great work. Paul Lang

Terry I have alot of respect for you and glad you're on substack.

I admire Steve Schmidt and his fearless reports and history lessons. With that said, I need to say, for weeks now all I hear is what dems are doing wrong instead of highlighting the fierce leaders that ARE speaking out & working hard! Yes some in power need to retire and haven't meant the moment but not all.

Ya know we didn't get here over night. Republicans, including those who changed to another party need to be honest. This started with Reagan's trickle down economics in the 1980's that never worked for working people. American people have been lied to for way to long! Decades later the only thing trickle down economics gave us is billionaires & oligarchs that control every aspect of our country! They purchased some elected officials on Both sides for decades. They got the laws & deregulations to help their corporations etc. Republicans have tried for decades to reduce or eliminate Medicaid & medicare which working people pay into every paycheck! Republicans have given tax cuts to the rich while giving unfair tax increases to the lower and middle class for decades. They've been cheating since 2010 with their operation red map which is racist gerrymandering of state maps so they could win elections for state & federal elections illegally and unfairly. There's nothing conservative about any of this. Middle class & poor people have been robbed by govt and top 1% for decades! Professor Reich does a wonderful presentation on you tube how this evolved.

In the 1990's fox news came with a so called news net work that continues to lie to the American people. Fox News is owned by an immigrant oligarch! Than followed social media platforms controlled by more oligarchs. Legacy media controlled by billionaires now. For American people who are busy working, raising children etc the days of watching 1 hour of nightly news reported honesty is gone. Now there's so many people lying it's no wonder we're divided.

I pray we get through this horrific time and we rebuild an America for ALL with EQUAL rights. If bashing different opinions of dems continues we won't make it. Alot of different people fall under the democratic umbrella. Majority of America is in that umbrella. We have more in common than our differences. The truth has to drown out the lies. Unity, integrity, honesty, love for country & all people is the only way out of this fascist autocracy in America.

God help us and those being hurt in so many ways🙏🫂🇺🇸

I agree with you, Terry, about our Democratic party. They are way too timid, and I think they are also dependent on the same funding sources as the Republicans do. It certainly is dismaying.

Bernie connected with me when he was mayor of Burlington, Vermont. If people can't figure out that we are all victims of corporate greed and stupidity. Act one was Reagan, Act two is tRump. We can either turn the whole thing around by working to wake up the sleepy sleeping middle. There is always an answer. Act three may be wild and wonderful or the end of it all. The answer is not in the same old, same old. I am 83 and have always been a part of the NEW Democratic party. Just watch us. Pay attention to the little girl who stands on a box and all the young people who have listened to Bernie. WE SHALL OVERCOME.
