Yes. Let me know if anyone is confronting these Republicans on camera.

You have to catch them in the act, Terry.

Right now it is not so much that they are trying to hide what they do.

In fact, they are proud of their bigotry, their segregationism, and their Ku Klux Klan inclinations.

Yes, segregationism.

Pretty much the look of the same old bunch.

In Texas. Abbott, Paxton, Cornyn, all of them.

Churchgoers all.

You could add George Wallace, and Birmingham’s own Bull Connor, for flavoring.

Texas House speaker Burrows’ words, and lips, drip with bullying, and aggressive intent.

Perhaps the most salient and obvious Texas example — right now — is the Republicans going into a House of Representatives in Austin that is devoid of Democrats.

Of course, that is how they like it.

My third great-grandfather was a signer of the Declaration of Independence of Texas in 1836. One makes of that one will.

Those of us who believe in freedom, and who have deep roots and associations in Texas, are not finished by a long shot.

Not by a long shot.

It will take more than the pissants Trump, Abbott, and Paxton, to defeat us.

I do not know about you, but that group cannot defeat us.

They cannot get the job done.

We will not let them.

Yes, not just the gerrymandering but also the Russian/big tech interference. The 2024 election outcome was analyzed. They did the math— conservatively figured the chance of everything flipping in just the particular way it did was one in 50 octillion.

Um, you wanna provide a link to that?

I hate mis- and disinformation, from any persuasion.

The numbers to which Fran is probably referring:

"The Math Ain’t Mathing

67% to 33%—when reverse-engineering the swing state data to give Vice President Harris back her votes—don’t these numbers seem more likely?

Trump couldn’t fill a stadium. He bopped around to “YMCA” for 40 minutes and refused to answer questions. He wouldn’t shut up about Hannibal Lecter. For a year he told the country that he didn’t need their votes.

So HOW did 88 counties flip red, none flipped blue, and he supposedly won every swing state—just above the threshold to avoid an automatic recount?

We already did that math: it’s a 1 in 50 octillion chance of happening without a fairy godmother.

Make it make sense."

Thanks- but that ain't math, that's opinion.

I agree it was unfathomable that Trump could possibly win- but every measure says he did.

Hi Tara. Thank you for adding that reference. They did a whole multipart series on this. And did the math conservatively. Putting that with previously documented election interference also in favor of Trump with the tech tricks Musk brought to the 2024, and evidence regarding interfering with voting machines, plus what the polls told us leading up to the elections, these facts prove the case beyond any reasonable doubt.

I wouldn’t advise responding to Chris Murphy further because he is impolite and it appears as though he wants to just argue. But the fact is She Won.😊👍

The only mysteries are why the dems didn’t protect the election and why they didn’t challenge the results.

I'm in Texas, where the threat is imminent and alarming. Where, if the redistricting is successful, our state, which voted 56% for Trump vs 42% for Harris in 2024, would be represented in the US House by 80% Republicans, almost all white. Latinos make up more than 40% of voters. This is cheating on a grand scale. There's little I can do beyond supporting the Dems who broke quorum. But let's be clear, if these gerrymandering efforts are successful here and elsewhere, there will never be fair elections again.

We suffer that fate in Indiana. Our votes last election were similar and yet nearly all offices are held by the GOP. We don’t even have enough in our state legislature to break quorum.

THANK YOU for talking about this. I knew this in 2020. I saw it coming. He is taking over local offices, projecting the things he is doing on Democrats. 96% of what he accuses Democrats of is what he is doing not the Democrats. Most of the proven fraud from 2020 was done by Republicans. I don't believe he won the 2024 election, but I have no proof. I no longer trust the votes. 2026 will be telling and definitely 2028. He is definitely following the Russian playbook. Unfortunately, I am silenced. Even this reply puts my life as I know it in jeopardy. PLEASE KEEP FIGHTING THIS FIGHT.

I'm here, and I'm showing up however I can. Our options are limited, though. Contacting my (Republican) senator and representative is useless. I join rallies and protests when I can. Started a Substack called "Truthify" to counter misinformation. Joined Indivisible and am active in my local group. I'm thankful for Terry's advice here, though. One more strategy. Here's hoping...

I live in Ohio, which is controlled by Republicans. I saw an article a few days ago, which said Ohio would gladly give trump's administration any voter information they wanted. Isn't this illegal, I have never heard of giving a president voter information before an election. Ohio is also supposed to redraw it maps for more gerrymandering. One feels kind of helpless living in a state like this

I'm in Ohio. It's incredibly frustrating. They've stalled so long on drawing new maps (which should have been done long ago) that now they have the power to draw them their way. There's hardly any decent journalism in Ohio any longer to cover this. And that's what we need to let people know of the coming danger. We need to make some noise.

This is an excellent idea, Terry. Thank you for suggesting it. I will watch out for any untoward actions regarding voting. I am in Texas, in Dallas, and I and many others are appalled at the open and brazen power grab the Republicans are enacting at the behest of Trump. It takes my breath away to see Americans acting against their follow citizens in this way.

Definitely worth reading. MSM as usual never gives adequate information about tRump and Project 25. We are heading into a dystopian nightmare if ordinary people don't get involved. Are people still under the illusion that this is BAU? Hardly. One major party is destroying what is left of this country, and the other major party is sitting on its hands. WTF would we do without the brave independent journalists who work 24/7 trying to save us from the madman and his minions. Terry lost his job with corporate news, but he's fighting harder than ever to save this country. Everybody can do something.
