Happy Mother’s Day!
Johanna and I recorded this on Friday, and it’s been a busy Mother’s Day weekend. A couple of tournaments, a drive out to West Virginia, and somewhere in there a couple of sleepovers.
We are wishing all the moms out there the happiness and recognition you all deserve, for doing the truly “essential work” of the human species. Love and respect to all of you. And if you’re not a mother—call your mom! Or, as I do here at the end of this Table Talk, remember her, summon her into your heart again from the shadows that soon enough will dissipate, on the blessed day (in the belief of so many) when we will be reunited, and the circle of her family will once again be unbroken.
