Good start to my day! Well done Terry & Katie! I’m first generation too- always think about my now deceased parents who were so proud to be USA citizens. They must be horrified if they are watching how the spoils of wealth & power are trying to twist our nation now…Bring on the real patriot voices💕
All of my proud grandparents immigrated from Croatia and they, too, would be horrified. Yet, my brother, now very wealthy with a masters degree in business mgmt., is 100% Maga and Trump. It's difficult at times to remain civil and respectful when we talk.
It’s difficult for sure. First that they would even go over to the dark side. My parents were open minded democrats and made sure we were exposed to government and political events. I was very young but I remember watching the Kennedy and Nixon debate, as well as watching election results. They also made it clear regardless of political party once someone was elected they were our president. That all changed with Watergate. I always reach out to my remaining brother. I used to do this on a monthly basis but it became clear he didn’t feel a need to keep our family ties alive and was most eager to discuss MAGA. It was the only time I was glad my parent were no longer alive. I no longer reach out monthly. It’s so difficult to comprehend their flip. I’m sorry.
Thank you for sharing that with me. My dad was a blue-collar worker for Bethlehem Steel in Pittsburgh in the 50s--'60s, and it's like my brother is ashamed of his roots. I'm also glad my deceased parents can't witness his self-righteous far-right behavior. I'm sorry for you, too, and for anyone else in our shoes.

Thank you Terry for this direct and informative article and interviews with attorney Fudali and Katie Phang. Both were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in understanding the issues. It’s imperative that the full Epstein files be released, the perpetrators are held accountable for their egregious actions towards these young girls/women. There are many important people that would be ruined if the files became public, and therefore it is possible that Epstein didn’t commit suicide as reported. Unfortunately, victims will not be able to get complete closure until the perpetrators are identified, convicted, jailed, and the “wondering if” has been identified and completed for this crime to be over.
