I think the volunteer goons and ICE violate the law, but I’m not a specialist. Same effect! They’re simply, imo, attempting to get around posse comitatus/martial law. The “volunteers” for the goon squad should disturb everyone hugely!
I'm sure Trump will still try as he doesn't care about breaking the law or defying the constitution. Unfortunately some courts often go along with him.

Yes. Judge Breyer’s opinion was rock-solid, even Trump had to acknowledge that. Higher courts might be less courageous, though…
